BLACKHAWK Industries was founded in 1989 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Blackhawk manufactures hot tapping and line stop fittings and accessories for the natural gas, oil and chemical industries and has earned a reputation as a premier supplier of pressure control fittings for the global energy markets. Dresser Piping Specialties of Bradford, PA, a division of Dresser, Inc. Natural Gas Solutions, acquired Blackhawk in 2006. The addition of the Blackhawk product line enhances Dressers ability to provide an extensive line of quality products to their energy market customers worldwide.
BLACKHAWK LS-2 Pressure Control Fittings are available for steel piping systems in threaded sizes from 1/4in through 3in and flange fittings from 4in through 12in. LS-2 fittings are designed, tested and manufactured to meet and/or exceed the code area replacement requirements for pressure containment per ASME/ANSI B31.8 (Gas Pipelines). The LS-2 fittings are certified for use in Class 1, 2, 3 and 4 locations at the Maximum Allowable Operating Pressures of 285 PSI for ANSI Class 150 Series fittings and 740 PSI for ANSI Class 300 Series fittings.
BLACKHAWK Full-encirclement LineStop fittings are available in ANSI 150, 300, 600 and 900 Series from 4 inch through 48 inch sizes. Split sleeve fittings are also manufactured with side outlet, spherical configurations and with a plain raised face weld neck flange for hot tapping. LineStop Flanges and Completion Plugs are also available.
LS-2 Pressure Control and LineStop Fittings are compatible with specific tapping and plugging equipment and are designed to carry the extra loads imposed during hot tapping and line stopping operations. All fittings can be designed to ASME/ANSI B31.8 (Gas Pipelines), B31.4 (Liquid Pipelines), B31.3 (Chemical Plants and Refineries), B31.1 (Power Plants), DOT 192 Federal Regulation for gas pipelines, DOT 195 Federal Regulation for liquid pipelines and most international codes. All fittings are marked in accordance with ASME Section VIII and IX (and API 1104) Welding Procedure specifications.
