Dresser Style 91 Service Saddles provide a quick, easy way to make service connections on steel or cast-iron pipe. They are specifically engineered for accurate fit and long-term sealing performance. Ruggedly constructed for long service life, Style 91 service saddles have the extra strength engineers like. The straps are of a high strength Dresserloy material, accurately shaped to conform to the outside of the pipe. The extra wide bearing surfaces prevent any cutting or crushing of the pipe. The gasket is a time-proven Dresser compound developed specifically for natural gas applications and is securely cemented into place for easy installation.
Dresser Style 91 saddles are furnished with 1/2in thru 2in NPT tapped bodies. Saddles are available in single and double strap configurations and each is designed to accurately fit steel or cast-iron pipe within a range of each nominal size – clearly marked on each saddle body. Available in conductive and insulated versions, the insulated Style 91 saddles offer complete isolation from the main for cathodic protection by utilizing our AL-CLAD Plastisol coating process. A thick film coating of thermoplastic provides an excellent insulating barrier between the pipe and saddle.
